Flowers from the past(part 1)

During my childhood days I lived with my parents and siblings in a big single storey bungalow with large lawns. My mum loves gardening and we have lots of plants in our garden. These are some of the flower/plants that remind me of my mum and the good old days of innocence and laughter.
This a plant my mum called 'ati-ati'and she used it for fever. She will soaked the leaves in water ovenight and then put the leaves on the forehead. For me the smell was actually quite nice.

I love fern and so was mum.We used to have few pots of them and I love this particular species.I love it's green colour and the small cute leaves. This fern was taken from my mum house after she passed away and till today it is still alive and well in my garden.

I love to press the red flower of the above plant where it will give out a 'pop' sound. We didnt have it in our garden instead our neighbour's house has this plant. When the van who sell vegetables/fish came ,it usually stopped at this neighbour's house and I will take the opportunity to press all the flowers when the neighbour wasnt looking.I've been trying to search for this plant for quite sometime when one day I saw it in the nursery and straight away bought it.It is very easy to grow but can be very uncontrollable sometimes.
